Okay, I've signed up (again). But I have to say I really don't care for the new forums and I'm on the verge of giving up on them.

They ain't so bad. We couldn't none of us figger 'em out at first, but once ya get the hang of 'em, they're right nice.

Some of those icons are pretty cute but it appears that the randomly generate since I haven't seen anything that allows me to choose what I want on my post. Is that something that can be made an optional feature so we can select the little graphical icon or is it just thrust upon us?

That tales is going away as soon as the stories are all transfered to the new system, to be replaced with the tales that you get when you click on the link in the upper right of this page. Won't matter anyway.

Mythotical is/was around, and has permissions. Other than Olan and Kinslayer, the rest haven't been active in quite awhile. At least, not in forums.

Ahh, but the problem is that the average user isn't going to hang around long enough to figure them out. They have to be usable and fairly intuitive right off the bat unless you want this to be a private club.
Now, having said that, I haven't tried doing anything here in the last few weeks so things may have improved.

than when I first got here. I was frustrated and downright crabby about it. But I can do so much more now than the original forums - add quotes and pages and stuff - it's nifty, guys.

'tis much better this time; but try it and let me know what doesn't work for you. I'll work on fixing. Forums is the one place this software could use help, but help is available. It's difficult to explain how it works, but I can do quite a bit with it, given the time. It doesn't help that I'm still learning the software -- it does help that I crashed it and had to rebuild, because then I knew better than to do some of the stuff I did the first time.

On the font or appearance issues, please send me a screenshot so I know what you're talking about. Most of the screens look fine to me on both Firefox and my version of IE.

I am looking for all the editors, but wanted to make sure that the Senior Editors were all around. Was Olan an SE? I think the others were all editors.

When I click to add a comment, I enter my title and then I have scroll down down down to actually type the body of the comment. This is in Firefox and IE so I dun think it's me... I'm lazy, I'd rather not scroll. But if I hafta, I hafta... Thanks!

I'm here but it took me 6 months to find the new forum - no-one told me we were moving. Likewise, no-one's been responding to any e-mails I've sent asking for my access to the admin side of things to be fixed - I've been unable to access that for nearly 2 years now!

Of course, it could be that I'm not needed anymore...

The links and notifications of move were up for several weeks before we came, and then it was a straight redirect, wasn't it, Effie?
