Editor's Desk

All members are encouraged to write articles for inclusion on our network of sites. For your time and trouble, you receive credibility, a wider audience and a link to your site (published at the bottom, in your signature) from our high-ranked network of sites. Don't worry if you have never written an article. You have to start somewhere and we are here to help you become published. Here is your opportunity to share your knowledge with other gamers.

Article Types Wanted

RPG Hearth: as the goal of RPG Hearth is to promote better roleplaying, all articles which may further that purpose are welcome. This includes home-brew creations such as settings and house rules, anecdotes on how to roleplay (or how NOT to roleplay), and studies on specific aspects of roleplaying, such as balancing gender roles and introducing more realistic (or more fantastic) elements into a game. All articles for this site should be published in "Roll Them Bones (Gaming Articles)."

RPG Herald: being a news site, Herald primarily publishes items of general RPG interest, such as the release of a new system or publication, the acquisition / closing / restructuring of gaming companies and any RPG rumors that have a smidge of veracity to them. All articles for this site should be published in either "Hot Off the Press (Gamer News)" or "Behind the Screen (Industry News)."

General Guidelines

The length of articles can be as small as 100 words to several thousand. To make it easy on our readers, please use simple sentences, keep paragraphs short, and use bulleted lists whenever appropriate. If your skill set allows it, boldface keywords and important concepts, use section headers (such as the 'General Guidelines' sentence above), and hyperlink to any additional information that may be useful for the reader.

Our system will automatically break lines and paragraphs, convert properly-formatted web and email addresses into links, replace text smileys with graphic ones and mark any relevant terms with a question mark linking to their glossary entry. You need only type.

To get started, register for an account, then use the "Add a New Story" form to fill in the details.
