Wiley-Blackwell’s Latest Edition “Battlestar Galactica and Philosophy”

Wiley-Blackwell’s Latest Edition “Battlestar Galactica and Philosophy”

In its Fourth and Final season, Book Poses New Questions From Show

New York, NY – (January 20 , 2008) In advance of the 4th – and as announced – final season of this exciting, thought provoking television series, Wiley-Blackwell's latest installment of its Philosophy and Pop Culture Series, Battlestar Galactica and Philosophy, goes, to quote an earlier Sci-Fi series, "where no man has gone before.”

Stop marking Roleplayers Home Dead!

I'm now officially peeved. Roleplayer's Home apparently disappeared for a couple of days. It has been restored - at least the forums have - yet some folks continue to mark it dead. I get as many as ten of these per day. When I visit the URL we have on file, I see an active and vibrant forum community. I don't really care what used to be there - I care what's there now. It's an active site and will not be removed from the index.

I returned from vacation to find that the RPG Ring designated tcr2005 has been completely corrupted and unrecoverable. If this is your ring, contact me and I'll see what I can do to help you re-create the data. Not sure what happened as I've been away -- this is a weird one.

Call for Millenium's End and Legend of the Five Rings Sites!

These two categories are about to be removed and the sites folded back into their genres unless we get more submissions under them. If you run or know of an ME or LoFR site that we don't have on the Gateway, please submit it or encourage the webmaster to submit it. There can't be only two sites for each out there ... can there?

An adventure typically begins with a prologue which may include the meeting of the characters or PCs, the introduction of the plot, action by the characters, resolution of the plot and epilogue."> Role Playing) is pre-releasing its HARP Sci-Fi rules as a beta release.
Wizards of the Coast kicks Sarbreenar out of the Forgotten Realms

The Sarbreenar campaign's volunteer committee has received communication from Chris Tulach (Head of Organised Play in the RPGA) about the future of Sarbreenar.

Wizards of the Coast believe Sarbreenar to be in breach of copyright because it is based in the Forgotten Realms and uses non-Open Gaming license products (i.e anything other then the PHB / DMG / MM). The RPGA has the licensing rights to use Wizards products in a convention style 'living' campaign and therefore they have the legal rights to public games using those books.

RPG Rings - ringmaster needed

We have a semi-dead ring in need of a ringmaster. The Crystal Realm was (or is, not sure) a site dedicated to freeform roleplaying aka cooperative fiction. The webring was supposed to be for their members' sites.

RPG Rings - CLEANING and will stay that way...

The RPG Nexxus has a web ring service. If you didn't already know about it, find it at http://rpggateway.com/rpgring/ ... works pretty much like the fancy-pants web ring.

Anyway, I have installed and tweaked a program that checks those web rings for number of active sites and valid code.
