RPG Nexxus NaNoWri Club
NaNoWriMo 2006
Yeah, this post is a little late, but I know at least two, maybe three, of us from the Gateway are also involved in National Novel Writing Month madness. It's fast, fun, and furious.
Ever wanted to write a novel? This is the perfect opportunity. The goal is to write a 50K word novel in 30 days during November. Lots of people try and win every year. Winners are those people who finish by the 30th.
NaNo Now What?
Eisel and I both won NaNoWriMo and are working diligently to edit them. It's funny but I've recently noticed huge gaps and problems and lack of description in my tale that never reared their ugly heads in November. Which is probably just as well since I didn't have a chance to fix it all back then.
My message here is that if you've ever thought about participating in National Novel Writing Month or even if you've never heard of it, I highly recommend it. It's energizing, you get a heck of a lot of writing done, you'll make some new friends, and you'll learn new skills and writing tricks you'd never heard of. I promise.
